Ventilation Systems

With the installation of  an appropriate opening mechanism, a light dome or an element of a light band can be used not only for the illumination with natural light but also for the natural ventilation and they can as well be used as an outlet of smoke and heat in the event of a fire.

Manual opening

is possible with a telescopic spindle and a telescopic crank that is 2 to 4 meters long and is suitable for smaller domes and rooms up to 5 meters high.

Electric opening

is possible with special electro engine drives AC 230V/50Hz of 180 W power and DC 24V of 24 W power. With special surface or sunken-mounted switches it is possible to open up to five light elements, individually or collectively.

Pneumatic opening

is possible with special pneumatic rollers. This kind of opening is suitable where compressed air is available, mainly in large production plants, warehouses and other big rooms. It is possible to open up to five light elements, individually or collectively.

Automatic opening for the outlet of smoke and heat

Is possible with special automatic mechanisms using either liquefied CO2 in special metal bottles or electric power DC 24V. Opening is conducted in compliance with EN 12101, the angle of opening is 165°. Via a fire-detection system opening can be activated individually or collectively. To provide natural ventilation, this automatic opening can be combined with the abovementioned opening systems.
